At 4 1/2 he had his first fight and at the age of 11 he became Scotland’s youngest world champion in history, beating a Canadian on a split decision to gain his first WKA title. However, his greatest successes have come more recently, with this year (2008) being a wonderful year for him. His first trainer, Angela Stewart, helped him to two world titles, but, when he took up full contact at the age of 14, he moved to Greg Docherty whom Scott describes as ‘one of the best’. Under Greg’s guidance Scott has won four world titles this year, in two cases taking on opponents up to 5 kilograms heavier than his normal fighting weight of just below 50kg. His pursuit of international success took him to two championships in the USA in 2008. In July he won the IKF title convincingly against Cameron Monyelle, putting him down for a count of 9 on his way to a points victory, and in November he won a closer fight against (amazingly) the same Canadian as he had fought in 2003. Another very special victory for Scott was winning the 2007 WKA title because he reversed a previous defeat to beat Leif Taggart, another great young talent and fellow Billionmore Hall of Famer. Scott is not the only member of the Allan family to be involved in kickboxing. His father promotes the gym and his older brother, Sam, is a three-weight World Champion!
