Muay Thai Martial Art II

Muay Thai Martial Art II is a continuous part of Muay Thai Martial Art I. In This article are many postures of Muay Thai Martial Art that divide into 2 parts as attack and defense parts.

Attack Postures

1. Hak Kho Erawan

Attack: left jab to the opponent while the left leg steps forward with right guard at chin.

Defense: Quickly move left foot forward while lifting right arm forwards to brush the opponent’s left arm away and jumping to take hold of the opponent’s neck then press it down quickly. After that, throw the knee to the opponent’s face.

 

2. Ba Tha Lup Phak

Attack: left jab to the opponent’s face while the left leg steps forward with right guard at chin.

Defense: launch the left fist to push away the opponent’s punch to right side. Then give upward kick to the opponent’s chin while both hands keep guard at the chest level.

 

3. Phra Ram Nao Sorn

Attack: Get close to the opponent then use two elbows against the opponent’s head.

Defense: move toward the opponent while raising the lower arm parallel to the floor for against the opponent’s elbows. After that, throw the uppercut quickly to the opponent’s chin while stepping forward.

 

Defensive Postures:

 

4. Hiran Muan Paen Din

Attack: launch a right kick to the opponent’s rib while guarding the face.

Defense: raise the right arm to block the opponent’s kick while turning round to use the left elbow to strike at the opponent’s chin. A Thai boxing term for this is “Sok Klab”

 

5. Fan Luk Buab

Attack: left jab to the opponent while the left leg steps forward with right guard at chin.

Defense: Step forward with the left foot to close down the opponent then use the right arm to block off the opponent’s punch. After that, throw the left elbow to the opponent’s chin.

 

6. Sak Puang Malai

Attack: left jab to the opponent’s face while the left leg steps forward with right guard at chin.

Defense: step close to the opponent then turn sideways to use the right fist to block off the opponent’s left punch away from the body and finally throw left elbow backward (Sok Klab) to the opponent’s lower chest.
